Fishjam 0.31.0 is out! 🎉 This release lets you record anything you can describe in React, and makes VAPI calls tidy up after themselves.
Record anything, no stream required
Until now, recording meant mirroring a stream you were already publishing. Not anymore. Write a React template, hand it to Fishjam, and get an MP4 back. No livestream to set up, no viewers needed: the recording is the whole point.
Your template decides what ends up in the file. Tile every participant of a call, spotlight whoever is speaking, drop in your branding, or react to events from your backend as they happen. If you can lay it out in React, you can record it.
Already streaming? You can still record exactly what your viewers see.

VAPI calls that end on their own
Voice agents no longer hang around in empty rooms. Turn on autoClose and the VAPI call ends by itself as soon as the last participant leaves. See Ending the call automatically.
